I have used this type of adapter in trailer parks that have no other choice but the 240 volt connectivity. There are ridges on the connectors so you could pull these plugs out of outlets without the straps. Without the straps it is more difficult to pull on the adapter evenly to disconnect it. I also like the “Pull Straps” that can be used to give an even pull when trying to unplug the adapter from the outlets. I do like the light in the adapter that shows it has been plugged in and there is power. The adapter wire sizes seem to be AWG #10 wire which is capable of 30 amps.
